Spinner at home. How to assemble a stroboscopic spinner with RGB LEDs from a set of parts How to assemble a disassembled spinner

I got acquainted with the tail spinner in the turning workshop of the transport workshop, where my fishing mentor Ivan was preparing tackle for the next fishing trip.

Having taken an interest in the capabilities of the spinner "master", I heard a fishing tale about his own, no less catchy, version of the front-loaded "spinner". Ivan showed me a tail - a spinner, which had a completely nondescript look, compared to the "branded" ones. Her petal was suspended from one of the underwear of the double on a swivel, the jumping off of which was prevented by a rubber tube.

A little later, I also assembled such a tail spinner on an eared load. But after fishing, I was disappointed in him - I couldn’t catch anything. Yes, and the petal constantly "stuck" in the double and stubbornly did not want to stay in the working position.

At home, after thinking about various assembly options, I came to the conclusion that it would be nice to fix the swivel for the petal in the place where the underwear of the double diverge. I made the first version of this installation soldered. Although the tail-spinner turned out to be working, the relatively complex manufacturing stopped me after assembling five or six spinners. I wanted to find a simpler and faster assembly option. My desire was helped by the situation in which I found myself, and heat-shrinkable tubes.

It happened like this.

We arrived with friends in the fishing Mecca - the lower reaches of the Volga. I caught it like everyone else: jig on vibrotails, twisters and foam rubber. At first, I did not even think about the possibility of using other baits. The main target was zander. From other fishermen, I knew that in our place, no one except him takes. When the activity of zander biting fell, I decided to experiment. At first, I was pretty good at catching streamers, which I knitted right in the boat. I had to knit new baits because of the cliffs. I did not put leashes, because I counted only on zander. Then he remembered his new bait and decided to try it out - what if?

I tied a tail-spinner, also without a leash, and made the first cast. The spinner flew away. After waiting for the fall to the ground, he began wiring. What? It seemed that there was nothing at the other end of the line. Not believing in the cliff, he wound the line. And there is! There was no glitter. I tied the next homemade tail - a spinner. Cast - fall - one winding - light push. And again the spinner "left". I put on a leash. But again, failure: a dead hook on a snag turned up deprived me of another spinner. There were no more such spinners, and it was time to sail to the camp.

The question arose: how to assemble a tail-spinner without using a soldering iron? I decided to tie the swivel to the hook and secure it with a heat-shrinkable tube. The experience went well. The swivel held securely, did not deviate from the axis and worked perfectly. The next day, I started fishing with a tail spinner, setting it on a leash. Casting. Winding up. Hit. And the first pike weighing more than 2 kilograms was on the kukan. The reason for the loss of spinners the day before became clear. During the day I caught 5 pikes, the largest of them pulled 6 kilograms. It was a complete surprise to me that she grabbed a relatively small lure.

If you have all the necessary components, the assembly of the tail-spinner is very simple. You will need: a Cheburashka weight, a double, a swivel, a heat-shrinkable tube, 2 winding rings and a petal. It is easier to work if there are small vices and a reel with mounting thread, which is used to make fly fishing lures. Finally, any heat source is needed to heat the straw, such as a lighter.

The assembly goes in the following sequence. We tie a swivel to the shank of the hook so that one of its rings protrudes beyond the place where the underwear diverges and rotates freely. It is more convenient to do this using vise and mounting thread on the reel. Having tied the swivel, we put a heat-shrinkable tube on the forearm, the length of which is equal to the length of the forearm of the hook, so that the rotating ring of the swivel remains outside. Gently heat the tube evenly along its entire length. Now, in two rings - the hook itself and the swivel - we thread the clockwork rings. It remains to put a petal through the winding rings on one side, and a load on the other.

  • Next, solder SMD resistors in the amount of 3 pieces. Work carefully. Remove from the tape and solder one resistor at a time.

  • Next, the microcircuit is soldered. Observe the chip installation key on the board. See photo. The microcircuit is installed in the center of the soldering pad. First, one extreme leg is grabbed. If necessary, the position of the microcircuit is specified with a soldering iron. Then the opposite leg is grabbed diagonally. And then all the legs of the microcircuit are soldered to the board.

  • This completes the soldering of electronic components. We proceed to soldering the parts on the back of the board.

    Soldering and assembling the spinner

    1. A power control micro button is soldered on the back of the board.
    2. Two 2032 brand battery holders are soldered. I recommend soldering the mounting pads of the holder on the board with solder in advance. Battery holders are also installed according to the key indicated in the drawing of the board.

    3. Install the board with the pad with the batteries up on the bearing on the table so that the cut of the pad and the bearing are in the same plane on the table.
    4. Raise the temperature of the soldering iron above 450°C and solder the bearing at three or four points to the board. To facilitate the work, you can clean the place of soldering the bearing with fine sandpaper.

      Batteries installed in the spinner

      The spinner is assembled, if the parts are installed correctly and in good condition, then after pressing the button, the LEDs will turn on and change their color and brightness according to the program built into the microcircuit. Place the spinner between your fingers and spin. The microcircuit controls the frequency and duration of LED flashes according to its program, which, when rotated, leads to a change and movement of the visible pattern, unfortunately, at a constant frame rate of video filming, it is impossible to convey changes in the pattern in all details of perception by human vision. But there is a video, see what happened. The backlight is turned off by pressing the button. The microcircuit will also turn off the power itself with a delay of five minutes.

    Today I will show you how to make a do-it-yourself paper spinner without a bearing. The advantage of such a spinner is that it can be assembled from improvised materials at home.

    Materials and tools for making paper spinner

    What we need from materials and tools:

    • cardboard paper - any thick paper from an old magazine from the cover will do, or you can simply glue several layers of plain paper together;
    • glue - any stationery liquid, PVA, Secunda, Monolith and even a glue stick will do;
    • scissors - it is more convenient to use nail scissors or stationery scissors of medium size;
    • coins - suitable in denominations of 1, 2, 5 and 10 rubles, however, again, you can glue a few coins of 10 kopecks each to gain weight for the blades of a paper spinner;
    • marker or felt-tip pen or pencil for marking;
    • paints or nail polish - to add color, style and shine to a paper spinner.

    Draw a spinner template

    We make a template for a spinner from cardboard using a cap from a plastic bottle or a coin worth 5 rubles. To make everything even, circle the lid with a felt-tip pen or marker. For accuracy, you can make a stroke with a pencil. The spinner is best made triangular - it will be better balanced and look cool.

    After drawing four circles, we connect the central circle with the rest of the smooth lines for the eye or for the same bottle cap.

    After that, we cut out our blank for the spinner from cardboard paper. Then we circle the finished template on a flat sheet of cardboard and cut out the second side of our paper spinner.

    We will also need four more circles of a smaller size. To do this, you can use a lid with a smaller diameter or a coin of 2 rubles or 1 ruble.

    We glue 3 coins at the ends of the paper spinner - it can be 1, 2 or 10 rubles. They are needed to give the blades weight and longer torsion.

    Glue the second half of the cardboard on top.

    Using nail scissors or an awl, make a hole in the center of the spinner.

    Making the axis of rotation of the spinner

    Next, cut off about 10 mm of the rod from the handle or any other tube that came to hand. In the spinner itself and in circles, you need to make holes for this tube. These holes should be such that a piece of the tube enters freely, but does not hang out.

    The details for assembling a paper spinner are ready and now it remains only to decorate it with paints, a marker or nail polish - whoever has something. At the same time, a drawing can be created such that an interesting pattern is obtained during rotation.

    We collect paper spinner

    We proceed to the assembly of the spinner - we insert the axis into one circle so that the end of the tube does not stick out on the other side and glue the axis to the paper.

    After that, we thread the axis into the spinner and put the second circle on top so that the tube does not stick out.

    After that, we glue the remaining two circles, covering the ends of the tube with them, so that it is convenient to hold the spinner.

    That's all - a homemade paper spinner without using a bearing is ready. It turned out a little clumsy, but the spinner spins cool and can easily serve as a real stress toy.

    To make it easier for you to make a do-it-yourself spinner using a printer (laser or inkjet), I have prepared several templates for a spinner with an optimal rotation circle diameter of about 8 cm. For convenience, they are all reduced to . You can crop unnecessary spinner drawings in Paint and print on a printer without rescaling.

    Here is a video on which the article was written and you can make a spinner yourself.

    How to make a paper spinner with push pins

    Perhaps you are dissatisfied with the rotation time of a spinner with a plastic tube axis? Then I will tell you how to make a paper spinner with a metal axis of rotation, but without using a bearing. On the net, I found another way to make a do-it-yourself spinner axis out of paper. To do this, we need to print any spinner template on thick matte paper. It is recommended to use printer paper It is better not to use glossy paper, because the slip will be worse and it can warp or lead from the humidity in the air.

    If you don’t have anything to print the template on, then you can make an interesting paper spinner at home without a printer and without a bearing.

    To make such a knee spinner, you will need two square sheets of paper measuring 20x20 cm and two ordinary push pins with plastic handles. In this case, we can use the origami technique to make a do-it-yourself spinner.

    How to assemble an origami spinner

    Fold the paper in quarters along one side and then in half along the other axis.

    Then you need to make a few additions, as in the photo, to get such rhombuses.

    Then we fold the second sheet so that the tails of the sheet are bent in opposite directions relative to the first part.

    Now we connect the two resulting paper parts crosswise and we wind the ends of the parts under each other into the formed pockets.

    Spinners entered the mass fashion not so long ago, but in just a few months they won the hearts of not only adults, but also children. Today, spinners are spinning everywhere: on the street, at work, in the subway and even in kindergarten! And every child wants his toy to be somehow different from those that his peers already have. You can buy an original spinner, but such a toy is not cheap, and the search for a unique spinner takes a lot of time. The best solution is to make a spinner yourself.

    So, we bring to your attention a few simple ways to make a do-it-yourself spinner from the materials that every home has.

    1. How to make a spinner from plastic caps?

    Materials: caps from any plastic bottles of the same size (4 pcs), plasticine, hot glue, a nail, scissors, a lighter and a toothpick.

    What do we have to do: put plasticine in 3 covers, use hot glue to seal the remaining space of the covers. Take the fourth cap (without plasticine) and make a hole in it, for example, with a heated nail. Glue the caps with sand to the one where you just made a hole. Take a glue stick and cut 2 small pieces (1 cm) from it. Break the toothpick in half and put a piece of glue on one end of it (make sure that the sharp tip of the toothpick does not stick out) and place it in the center of your future spinner. On the reverse side, put the remaining piece of glue stick on the tip of the toothpick. Your spinner is ready!

    For a more interesting look, you can paint the lids in different colors with acrylic paints.

    2. How to make a cardboard spinner?

    Materials: caps from plastic bottles, cardboard, scissors, a marker, an awl or nail scissors, glue, 3 coins and a pen rod.

    What do we have to do: using the covers, draw 4 circles on the cardboard in the shape of your future spinner. After that, cut out 5 such blanks and glue them together, carefully gluing the edges. Next, cut out smaller circles. Using an awl or thin nail scissors, make a hole in the center of the spinner. Glue 3 coins or any stickers on the sides of the blanks.

    Next, take the set aside pen stem and carefully cut off 1 cm from it. Make small holes in the center on two small circles. Insert the cut piece from the pen shaft into one of the circles and glue it along the edges of the hole to fix it securely. Insert this circle into the center of your spinner and glue the second circle on the back. The two remaining small circles can be glued over the ends of the rod. To make your spinner spin faster, place some kind of spacer between the blank of the spinner itself and the small circles (in our example, we used metal pendants).

    Ready! Let the child decorate his spinner as he wants, you can use sparkles, stickers, rhinestones and other decorations.

    3. How to make a spinner using bearings?

    Materials: bearings (3 pcs), screed clamps, glue gun or superglue (for a more complex spinner).

    What do we have to do: Wrap cable ties around the bearings on all sides. Cut off the extra clamps and that's it - the spinner is ready!

    To make it more bright and attractive, you can make the design more complex. Take 7 bearings, place 6 of them around the seventh. You will not use all 7 bearings, you will only need 3 circular and 1 central. You need the rest of the bearings only for accurate measurement, so we will leave only those that form a triangle. Glue all the necessary parts with a glue gun or superglue. Spinner is ready! Decorate the spinner however you like. You can glue fluffy wire, apply glue on the sides of the spinner and cover the edges with sparkles.

    Be sure, no one will have such spinners as your child has!

    My blog is a masculine take on popular trends. The topic of anti-stress spinners did not pass me by either. Today I will give advice how to fix spinner. By the way, in the previous post I told you what they are and what their trick is. Subscribe to the blog, always be aware of new products!

    So, how to fix spinner on one's own? If the toy does not spin well, the problem is fixable. Of course, the easiest option is to buy a new turntable. You can choose the model you need from partners of the VilingStore catalog. But the old one should not be written off. Repairing the gadget is quite simple, and you will see it now.

    How to disassemble a spinner

    Before you fix the spinner, it must be disassembled. But how? At first glance, this design looks like you can’t get close to it. But I got up and took it apart. Now I will share with you how I did it. First we take out the cross. It is fastened like a button and is quite tight, but with some effort, I got it. A conventional bearing, if pulled out of the blades, cannot spin. I tried. But the one in the middle is special - with balls arranged around the circumference. It is he who provides rotation. After that, slightly pressing, we pull out the bearings along the edges of the triangle. Having disassembled the spinner, you can change its modification. I tried to make an eternal turntable. To do this, I returned the middle bearing, which provides rotation, to its place, and left the bearing on one blade. In this form, the toy can spin for a very long time. Well, now we assemble the spinner in the reverse order.

    What are Spinner Bearings?

    The most important part of the spinner is the bearing. Usually it is hidden behind metal plugs. In order for the spinner to rotate for a long time, the bearing must be ceramic. If it is made of metal, the rotation speed will decrease significantly. As we have already noted on the basis of the experiment on disassembling the spinner, the bearings for the spinner on the blades are slightly different, and their main function is to create the necessary torque with their weight. Mostly bearings of type 608RS with an inner diameter of 8 mm and an outer diameter of 22 mm are used. The width of the bearings for the spinner is 7 mm.

    In order for the bearing to rotate longer, it must be smaller and the frame larger. If the balls are located farther, then the friction force will be less, respectively, and the rotation time will be longer. So which bearing is best? If rotation time is a priority during use, then, frankly, it is better to take the r188 bearing. The diameter of this bearing is 12.7mm. The bulk of the spinners are quite large. Therefore, a large bearing will make the frame lighter. Remember, we already said that the bearing must be smaller and the weight of the frame must be greater in order for the rotation to take place long enough. The balls in the large 608 bearing are farther from the fulcrum, so by all accounts the r188 bearing will spin longer. But the size of this bearing is both an advantage and a disadvantage, since it causes difficulties in maintenance. In addition, r188 is more expensive. Of course, to increase the speed, you can put this bearing, but you can’t just insert it like that. You should use the adapter that comes with the kit. A reasonable question arises: how much does a spinner bearing cost. I will answer this way, depending on where you buy, on average, you will have to pay at least 200 rubles for this part.

    How to lubricate the spinner

    If you clean the spinner, it will spin longer. Even if the gadget just lies in your pocket, it collects a lot of dust and debris on the bearing. You can take acetone, paint thinner, isopropyl alcohol or Galosh Gasoline. If you still didn’t find anything from all of the above, then take dishwashing liquid or regular soap. Dip the bearing in the solution or pour isopropyl alcohol directly onto the bearing. Then rotate the bearing in different directions. Rinse under running warm water, continuing to rotate first in one direction, then in the other direction. Dry the part of the spinner with a hair dryer. Do not use rags or towels.

    Bearing lubrication reduces rotational noise and vibration. You can lubricate the main part of the twister with silicone grease. They can be liquid or in the form of an aerosol. One drop is enough to achieve the desired effect. You can use automotive lubricants or what you use to lubricate the hinges on the doors. Vegetable oils and animal fats are not suitable. We chose a lubricant, now for the job. Remove the cover and bearing protection. Put on a piece of cardboard and put one drop of lubricant on the bearing balls, it is important not to overdo it. Start spinning the spinner in different directions until you are sure that all the balls are lubricated. Close the protective cover. Remove excess grease with a cotton swab.

    So let's sum it up. How to fix a spinner that doesn't spin? Replace the bearing, if you're lucky, you can get by with lubrication without replacing the part. If you still decide to buy a new spinner, then I advise you to look at the partners of the VilingStore catalog. I hope my tips are helpful to you.
